I write both fiction and creative nonfiction, and continue occasional work as a consultant in the film and television industry. I live in Montreal, Canada and in San Miguel de Allende, Mexico with my artist husband Luc Bernard, and our Airedale Terrorist, Owen. I serve on the Advisory Board of the San Miguel Writers Conference, and I am currently enrolled in the MFA in Writing program at Bennington College, Vermont.
I was born in Canada and raised in Brazil, the son of missionary parents.
When I was 19 years old, I co-founded a software development company and never looked back. An entrepreneur at heart, I have bought and sold companies, been a public company CEO, worked as a C-suite media executive throughout my career, and served on numerous business and non-profit boards.
